Springtime in Fukushima

Yay! Spring has finally arrived! The weather is getting so much better, and in a couple of weeks cherry blossom season will be in full bloom.

Things are also getting more exciting in Fukushima, I think the warm weather brings out the social side in people. Last week I went out with my co-workers and some students a couple of times, and today I had a small apartment-warming party. I also went to a dance show put on by one of the dance schools a student at AEON teaches at (there must be a better way to word that sentence, but I'm feeling too lazy to think about it so you'll just have to deal with it). Tomorrow I'll finally have a chance to exercise so I'm going to go running around Shinobuyama. On Wednesday I'll start taking Japanese lessons, and hopefully on Thursday I'll finally get a cell phone! All the other new teachers in my training group got cell phones weeks ago, but things seem to take a little more time out here in the boonies. Oh, and best of all I got a coupon for a free treatment at a stone spa! I guess you lay on warm stones or something like that, but it's supposed to be really relaxing . . . I'll let you know.

I'm thinking of going to Koriyama next weekend, so hopefully I'll have some fun new pictures to post then.
