The BioRad Holiday Party
This past Saturday Chris and I went to a fancy holiday party for his company, BioRad. It was held at the Sheraton Palace Hotel, and had the theme "The Streets of San Francisco." There were three rooms that had several tables with appetizers, and each were modeled after the different neighborhoods in the city. For instance, Chinatown had dim sum, North Beach had Italian food, and Fisherman's Wharf had seafood. We had a wonderful time, and I got to meet a lot of Chris' co-workers who were all really friendly.
In other news, I have a freckle in my eye. Yes, although it seems impossible, I have somehow managed to produce a freckle in an unusual location. Last week I noticed a dark spot in the corner of my left eye (actually under the lid), and thinking it was some kind of injury or strange growth I went to the optometrist to have it examined. Turns out it's a freckle. How in the world did I get a freckle in my eye? My Uncle Dennis, the optometrist, said that you can get an accumulation of pigment anywhere, even in places that get hardly any sunlight. So I guess you do learn something new everyday.

I have some freckles in places that hardly ever get any sunlight, if ya know what I mean. No, really; I'm not just trying to be a jerk.
